Our New Collection in Collaboration with the Susan G. Komen Foundation

After Amanda’s younger sister was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 36, she was inspired to create a collection that would give back and help make a difference. The Austin-based jeweler, and owner of Amanda Deer Jewelry, got to work and created a special bracelet and set of charms available in October for breast cancer awareness month.

Amanda and her sister Christine have partnered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to donate 30% of the purchase of each bracelet and charm through the month of October. The foundation is dedicated to eliminating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by meeting the most critical needs of the breast cancer community and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.

Christine's personal breast cancer journey led her to connect with Susan G. Komen. "I felt an immediate connection with Susan G. Komen because of their mission to educate women about the importance of early detection screenings," said Christine. "Having experienced the life-saving outcome myself, I truly resonate with their cause. I am now honored to partner with Susan G. Komen to share my story, educate other women about early detection, and empower them to advocate for their own health."

The bracelet and charms were designed to serve as a symbol of hope and strength for those affected by breast cancer. Each purchase not only allows the wearer to show their support for the cause but also contributes to the ongoing efforts to combat this disease.

The collection features a pink silk cord bracelet with a 14kt gold vermeil evil eye charm at its center, intended to be a lucky talisman to wear every day. Two charms were also launched as part of the collection, they are part of Amanda Deer’s permanent jewelry collection and feature pink tourmaline stones set in a 14kt gold heart. The hearts can be welded onto any permanent bracelet or anklet chain at Amanda Deer Jewelry for the month of October.
