About

Amanda Deer Jewelry Team

Thank you so much for supporting a small, all-female run business!

Each piece is designed with love and made with care by our tiny but mighty team in Austin, Texas. We enjoy creating dainty jewelry that you can wear everyday – a favorite necklace, bracelet, or ring that has a memorable meaning. We hope you’ve found your special piece that you can reach for every time you walk out the door.

OUR STORY

In 2009 Amanda Deer Jewelry started from a simple idea that arose from one little problem: where was all of the affordable, dainty jewelry? Amanda was on the hunt for something simple, delicate and within her budget, but the only pieces she found were well over $300. She decided to take it upon herself to create jewelry she liked with no intention of creating her own brand. She taught herself how to make jewelry by taking apart pieces she had purchased and discovered that the assembly was easier than she thought. Amanda threw a few pieces up online, not expecting anything, but people took notice. While working a full-time job in marketing, she slowly grew her jewelry business on the side, and things started to take off. Unable to keep up with he demand, she hired her first employee in 2013, then quit her full-time job in 2015 to put all of her energy into running her business. Since then, with  she’s hired what she considers her 'dream team' and opened her first flagship store on East 5th street in Austin, Texas. The space doubles as the company's maker studio in the back with a jewelry showroom in the front, and she goes to work every day doing something she loves.

MEET THE TEAM

Amanda

Owner / Designer

When she’s not designing new items, running her business, and being the face of her brand, she’s spending time with her husband and 3 fur babies: Chase the sheltie and cats Six and Seven. She’s a board member of the Women’s Jewelry Association, helping bring local Austin jewelry designers together for networking and mentorship. She’s originally from Denton, Texas and graduated from Texas Woman’s University where she studied Communications and Marketing. If you thought that was it, you were wrong; she’s also a spokesperson for the Glaucoma Research Foundation where she helps raise awareness and fundraise thousands of dollars every year for glaucoma research. It's a cause that's close to her heart as she was born with Glaucoma and her father lost his sight from the disease. She’s a busy lady but always makes time to go on relaxing walks with her fluffy pup every day.
